XIII Workshop on
INSTITUTIONS, INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOUR AND ECONOMIC OUTCOMES
The workshop venue is at the Campus Mariani of the Università di Corsica, in Corte, Avenue Jean Nicoli.
Corte was the capital of the Corsican Republic between 1755 and 1769.
GETTING THERE
Bastia Airport is located at 22 km from the city center of Bastia and is connected with several European destinations, mainly by Air France.
You can join the city center of Bastia:
- By shuttle: the Bastia airport is connected to the train station in approximately 25 minutes with a half-hourly frequency and a price of 9 euros

- By taxi: taxis stand in front of the door of the arrivals terminal of the airport. You can join the train station in 20 minutes.
Train station in Bastia connects with train station in the center of Corte (travel time about 1h40 one-way).

Alternatively, Ajaccio airport has regular flights to and from many European cities as well. Be aware though, that the train trip between Corte and Ajaccio is more than 2 hours and the train frequency is a little bit lower than the one from Bastia.
DURING YOUR STAY
Corte is a town in the mountainous heart of Corsica, approximately 70 kilometres south-west of Bastia and 80 kilometres north-east of Ajaccio. Both Corte itself and the surrounding countryside are very popular with visitors during the summer. Although Corte is the only substantial town in Corsica to be a long way from a beach, the mountainous countryside will be adequate compensation (Gorges de la Restonica and Gorges du Tavignano are the two wonderful valleys to the south and west of Corte centre).
